Pride of Reading Award Nomination

Exciting news! This month, Live & Love Music founder, Danielle Knights, has been nominated for Pride of Reading’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Danielle says, “I’m really excited to have been nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. 2019 has already been a very big year, having won the QuickBooks’ #BackingYou £5000 business grant in January. Since then, Live & Love Music has been receiving lots of enquiries for weddings, private and corporate parties, pubs, and retail events, which is really exciting.

Reading is my birth town so it felt natural for me moving back here last summer. I’ve loved living and running my music agency business in such an up and coming town full of community spirit. I really enjoy working with local clients in particular. Organising live music events for venues such as House of Fraser at The Oracle and Broad Street Mall have been some of the highlights.

With the decline of UK high streets, it’s really important to keep them alive with community events that provide a real buzz and live music can really help with that. I’m looking forward to supporting more Reading venues with entertainment this year and hope to encourage other young people to set up their own businesses doing something that they love.”
